The environment is changing. With the transportation of your supplies, CO₂ is released, which can have a negative impact on the environment. Rotra restricts the emission of CO₂ as much as possible by using vehicles that comply with the strictest climate norms, the training of personnel and the development of intelligent software. With its think tank, Rotra is always looking for new sustainable initiatives that contribute to our goal of a sustainable policy. For all these initiatives, we have been rewarded with the Lean & Green Award.
However, as it is impossible to reduce the CO₂ emission to zero and our ambition is 100% climate neutral transport, we would like to tackle the residual emission with you. Therefore, we offer you the possibility to transport your products in a climate neutral way with Rotra. With the Rotra Green Footprint we can collect your shipments worldwide 100% CO₂ neutral and deliver them at their destination. We can do this by compensating the CO₂ emission, in cooperation with the Climate Neutral Group (www.climateneutralgroup.com), with investments in sustainable energy projects. For this, you are charged 0,88% (including administration fee) over the original freight rate for all transportation by road within the Netherlands and for all your international shipments. In case of an Air-/Seashipment the fee (incl. administration fee) will be determined at the moment you book your shipment; this fee depends on the distance of the transport and the volume/weight of the shipment. Per individual client, the amount of CO₂ is related to the shipped volume.

Rotra Green Footprint

With the Rotra Green Footprint, Rotra offers you the possibility to do sustainable business. Sustainable energy projects contribute to the reduction of CO₂ in the atmosphere as the traditional fossil fuel is being replaced by sustainable energy. Examples of projects we invest in are windmill parks, hydropower centrals, solar panels and biogas and compost projects. The projects, which comply with the strictest quality criteria, are selected by the Climate Neutral Group and are controlled and certified by independent institutions.
Rotra registers for you how much you compensate each year. You will receive a compensation report periodically with which you can show that you are doing business in a climate neutral way in cooperation with Rotra.
